THE MIGHTY MACS is based on the incredible true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women's basketball. The film stars Carla Gugino (of HBOs Entourage and Night at the Museum) as coach Cathy Rush, and Academy-award-winnning actor Ellen Burstyn as the Mother Superior. Margaret Anne Florence takes a supporting lead role as the star point guard of the team, Rosemary Keenan.

Margaret Anne stars as Clara in The Light in the Piazza. Set in Italy in the summer of 1953, a young American tourist, Clara Johnson, meets and falls for young Italian Fabrizio Naccarelli. As their whirlwind courtship unfolds, Clara's mother is unable to conceal the family secret and must reconsider not only her daughter's future but her own as well. Arena's own Molly Smith directs an intimate, chamber version of this musical that won six Tony Awards (including Best Score). The show is "a magnificent theatrical achievement" (Chicago Tribune) and "absolutely transfixing" (San Francisco Chronicle). Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss) has distilled Elizabeth Spencer's novella to a poignant tale about the essence of love, aided by the lush music of Adam Guettel (Floyd Collins).

When a new inmate, Laura (#1059), is brought to #1031's cell, the paranoia grows - Is this Jayne Mansfield-like blonde to be her ally, or possibly, her executioner?

Margaret Anne Florence is Luisa, the female lead in The Fantasticks, the world’s longest running musical, beginning July 21 at the Jerry Orbach Theater in the Snapple Theater Center. The Fantasticks is a captivating story about a boy and girl who fall in love at the hands of their meddling fathers. The audience uses its imagination to follow the mysterious El Gallo as he creates a world of moonlight and magic, and then pain and disillusionment, until the boy and girl find their way back to one other. The original cast included Jerry Orbach of Law and Order fame.

Maccabeat is a musical set in biblical times featuring Hanukkah hero Judah Maccabee, who is torn between his father's religious orthodoxy and the modern world around him. He tries out for the Olympics, falls in love with a beautiful Greek "goddess," Allura, played by Margaret Anne Florence, and discovers his destiny. Along the way, there's doo-wop, a boy band, bad guy Antiochus and the world's first Valley Girl. Forget the business about the oil lasting for 8 nights -- THIS is the true story of Hanukkah...sort of.
